Data presented at a recent travel industry convention showed that the proportion of Britons booking a trip recently has practically matched before the pandemic levels.
Approximately eighty-seven percent of respondents polled took a vacation either at home or abroad recently.
A growing number of respondents mentioned a vacation as the top non-essential purchase, prioritized over recreation, electronics, and other leisure activities, including during difficult economic times.
AI Integration Increases
A poll done in the summer showed that significantly more people are using AI for holiday planning than a year ago.
At present, 8% of respondents stated they depend on AI for ideas, increasing from a smaller percentage in 2024.
Young Holidaymakers and Mental Health
The study also highlighted that millennials were most likely to describe a vacation as "crucial for their mental health".
A significant ninety percent of younger adults shared this view, relative to the average general response.

Young tourists were also twice as likely to pick a company, accommodation, or location due to its eco-friendly policies.
Roughly twenty percent of millennials considered environmental factors, against one in ten generally.
